Stop and think about what you really want in life.
So many people are unhappy because they're constantly chasing after things that they don't even want. They've been told all their lives that they can be whatever they want to be, so they never stop and think about what would make them happy.
You deserve to be happy. You deserve to have a life where you're content with what you have. It's time to let go of the unrealistic expectations that have been put on you and appreciate what you have. Let's start today by accepting ourselves for who we are.

"You can be whatever you want to be."

This phrase is often repeated to children and adults, and although it's meant to be inspiring, I believe it's the root cause of many people's dissatisfaction.

In some cultures, you are limited to what you can be or achieve. That is just the way.

While in other cultures you are constantly reminded that you can be whatever you want to be. As a result, you never stop and appreciate what you have because you feel the pressure to be much more. You can have that big house. You can have that expensive car. You can be the President or CEO.

But realistically, most of us will never achieve these goals. Let's appreciate what we have and celebrate our accomplishments, rather than constantly striving for something more. It's time to be realistic and accept that we can't be whatever we want to be. We are limited by our talents, abilities, and resources. And that's okay.

The argument for agreeing that we can't be what we want to be:

I think it's important to be realistic about what you can achieve in life. There's nothing wrong with setting goals high, but you also need to be mindful of your limitations. It's easy to get caught up in the mentality of "I can do anything I set my mind to" but sometimes you just need to accept that certain things aren't meant to be.

The argument for agreeing that we can be what we want to be:

I think it's important to have dreams and goals that you may not be able to achieve. They keep you motivated and inspired. If you always settle for what you are capable of, you will never reach your full potential. There is nothing wrong with striving for something more, even if you may never achieve it. It's the journey, not the destination, that matters most in life.
