We have a tendency to look up to other people because of their titles or standing in life, but just because we do so, does not indicate that they are superior to us. Similarly, just because we come across people who appear to have fewer resources than us does not always imply that they are beneath us or have nothing of value to contribute.

Because of the varied things that have happened to them, they could have knowledge that is distinct from ours.

Because of this, humility is essential to the learning process; if we are modest enough, we can learn from anyone. Every individual you come into contact with presents you with a new chance to learn and develop. If not, Life will find a way to teach us humility if we choose not to be humble or if we choose not to demonstrate humility.

Consider the next time you meet a new person an opportunity to educate and develop yourself, and do it with an open mind. You might be shocked by how much information you take in!
