Do you constantly feel like you're not good enough?
You're definitely not alone. A lot of people struggle with being too hard on themselves. In fact, it's so common that there's a cliché about it! But that doesn't make it any easier, does it?
When we're hard on ourselves, it only makes things worse. We feel bad about ourselves and our mistakes, and that just leads to more stress and anxiety. "You're your own worst critic," goes the cliché. When we're hard on ourselves, it only makes things worse. We feel bad about ourselves and our mistakes, and that just leads to more stress and anxiety.

But when we're kind and understanding, we give ourselves the space to make mistakes and learn from them. We also become happier and more content with our lives. With self-compassion, you can finally stop feeling so guilty and ashamed all the time.

Self-compassion starts with compassion. They're identical. Compassion is a set of feelings, ideas, intentions, wants, drives, and behaviours towards any living being (i.e., ourselves, another person, a group of people, a society, animals, the environment, etc.). When we talk about self-compassion, we mean that it's aimed inward.

You can start accepting yourself for who you are and learn to love yourself just the way you are. Imagine how much better your life will be when you have that kind of inner peace and happiness.

It can be tough to learn how to be compassionate towards ourselves, but it's definitely worth the effort.
